The 28W/4878T00 is a very powerful 28cm subwoofer, with its large 3” voice coil, extreme linear excursion and low resonance frequency is it perfect to reproduce the deepest frequencies. It features a paper-sandwich cone with very high stiffness and relative low weight. The motor system has heavy duty copper sleeves for optimizing eddy currents and minimizing self-induction.

 

Suggested Box Alignments:
1.5 cubic feet sealed box for 3dB down of 48Hz and 6dB down of 32Hz
3.0 cubic feet with 3" vent by 13" long for 3dB down of about 22Hz
2.75 cubic feet with 3" vent by 15" long for f3 of 23Hz
2.5 cubic feet wtih 3" vent by 17" long for f3 of 25Hz

The sealed box used with a plate amplifier with bass boost might be a nice little subwoofer. The port length on the vented boxes is pretty long. Be sure you leave at least 3" to the back wall, preferably more.
